Lookout Mountain, Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave, and Colorow Point Park

Lookout Mountain Park has views that stretch from the Continental Divide to Downtown Denver. Best known as the final resting place of William F. “Buffalo Bill” Cody, the park is one of the top visitor attractions in Denver and Colorado. The park hosts not only Cody’s grave marker but also the Buffalo Bill Museum and the Pahaska Tepee which has a large gift shop and restaurant. The first Denver Mountain Park shelter is close by and is a great place for a picnic.

Colorow Point Park is the smallest park in the Denver Mountain Park system but boasts one of the best views. The park sits across from the entrance to Boettcher Mansion and the Lookout Mountain Nature Center on Colorow Road. It is named for Ute Chief Colorow whose tribe used the area as a lookout point in the early 19th Century.
