Thanks to the amazing generosity of the Axton Family, Denver hopes to add on to the Mountain Park System. The Axton Family Ranch, to be known as the Axton Ranch Mountain Park, is a 450 acre parcel located in Gilpin County. The new park will likely start as a conservation area with limited access and amenities but is expected to provide future areas for recreation and educational programming including hiking, fishing and picnicking.
