Winter Park Resort

Winter Park Resort is set in the Fraser Valley at the base of the Continental Divide. The Park was the brainchild of George Cranmer who was also the driving force behind the creation of Red Rocks Amphitheater. While Denver no longer actively manages the ski area, Winter Park Resort is perhaps one of the best examples of how the Denver Mountain Park System was contemplated as a recreation and outdoor opportunity for residents and visitors to the area.
